Hello, you. It's been a little minute!
I decided at the beginning of the summer to take a short break from Substack while I decided what to do with it.
I'd been writing weekly, every single week for six months, and I wanted to decide whether it was worth putting effort into, whether people were finding it useful and valuable. And actually the answer was yes.
Mostly people were reading quietly in the background without engaging. So it was difficult for me to really understand whether it was valuable. However, I have some people who have pledged to support The Buzz, which is just beyond lovely.
And so I've decided that while my newsletter has been free, it hasn't been cheap. It requires a great deal of thought and energy in order to make it worthwhile.
And so I have decided to treat The Buzz a bit like a five minute coaching session, and as such, I'm going to ask you to imagine that we're in a cafe together. So all you're going to do is offer to buy me one coffee a month, and in return, I'm going to share with you the best advice I have to help you feel like you can be braver, to trust yourself more, to find the joy around the tiny corners and to help you create a life you love. Or to help you be the person that you know is deep down inside of you waiting to come out.
And so with that in mind, I have re-launched The Buzz as a paid Substack.
The weekly emails will continue to be long-form, and contain the hints and tips, the journaling prompts, the tools, the techniques that I can share with you that are immediately actionable; that I know will make a difference.
If you're not interested in continuing to have the long form, or you don't want to really pay for that, that's absolutely fine. My free weekly newsletter continues to go out, and you can find that on my website, www.quietthehive.com.
This is not about me withholding stuff, but it is about me having a sense of my value and knowing that actually what I'm offering here will make a difference to my reading community.
So I really hope I can invite you into this community to give it go and see what difference it might make for you.
The articles will never take longer than five minutes to read. They will always give you something that you can go and test out or try or think about that will perhaps change the way that you are approaching things that might make a difference for you in the way that I know that they can.
So there we go. It is worth it. I am going to continue, and I hope you’ll be right there with me.
Thanks for hanging out, and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
